Dr. Michelle Heyer received her DVM from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007.  She previously received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Saint Louis University.  Dr Heyer joined the Veterinary Medical Group of Des Moines in January 2009 and has special interests in internal medicine, radiology and soft tissue surgery.
     Michelle and her husband, Nathan, grew up in Lake Ozark, MO and re-located to Des Moines in November 2007.  They currently live in Ankeny with their black lab, Kona and their first child, Riley, born in April 2009.
     Outside of work, Michelle enjoys traveling, jogging, boating and water skiing.  She is also a huge St Louis Cardinals fan and tries to make it to as many games as possible.
