A thorough physical exam is performed on every pet that is here for vaccinations and for patients that present for not feeling well.
This includes an examination of the mouth including evaluation for dental disease, an examination of the ears and ear canals for parasites, infection or masses, an examination of the eyes and evaluation of the skin for any signs of disease (hairloss, masses, wounds, etc.)
An evaluation of the heart by listening with a stethescope and taking the animals pulse is performed on every animal that presents to our hospitals.
A rectal temperature is taken prior to the administration of vaccinations, especially if your pet is not feeling well.
